Halloween Happenings!

It is no secret that our kids LOVE Halloween!!!  It is probably their favorite holiday!  They love everything about it and celebrate it nearly all year long by reading books, singing songs, and dreaming of what they will dress up as.  I must admit, I love it too.  So, we've had a lot of fun celebrating Halloween all month long.  Here are just a few of the things we've done.

We decorated sugar cookies with our awesome neighbors, then delivered them to four families in our neighborhood.

We had to make sure we carved some pumpkins!

We got all dressed up and went to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat.  This year Carson decided to be the Grim Reaper (he wanted something SCARY!) and Brynlee picked Sleeping Beauty.  We had a great time at the party and the kids got TONS of candy!

Dan's parents came to visit during October.  We had a fabulous time visiting with them.  The kids absolutely LOVE having grandma and grandpa around!!!  Grandma brought lots of goodies and toys for them and had fun activities planned for them, like making finger puppets and decorating cupcakes...they loved it!
We also had a fun family Halloween dinner with the grandparents and also Dan's brother Eric's family.  Here's some of the fun stuff we made.

This is my bread dough rising a little too high...ahh!
Dan made some spooky swamp juice with all sorts of critters in it...yuck!
                     Hotdog mummies....a kid favorite!
Bread bowls for our cheesy broccoli soup.
Blood worms!!!  These were a bit of a pain to make, but they looked so cool!  The kids didn't really like to eat them though...oh well.
Grandma made new dresses for the girls.  Look how cute they all look!
And of course she brought something for the boys too....some cook new shirts!

We had a great time on Halloween too!!!  We had some friends over for dinner, then headed out trick-or-treating with our neighbors.  The kids loved it!

After about an hour, Brynlee was tired, so we went back to hand out candy while Dan took Carson out longer.  Brynlee sat herself right down in the doorway and waited for trick-or-treaters...she loved handing out candy!

               Look at all the LOOT!!!
We had a great October and a great Halloween!!
Carson already asked how much longer until Halloween comes again!

26 weeks and one awesome shirt

I'm 26 weeks along and everything is going great! I'm feeling great and just wishing we could settle in on a name for this little man.

So, what do you think of my awesome shirt? Jen found these super cool iron-ons and we just HAD to do them. I've been trying to wear it as much as possible and I can't even tell you how many comments I get on it...it's so funny! Complete strangers tell me they like it or I'll notice people pointed and smiling. I'm not sure how I feel about all this attention, but hey, the shirt is awesome, huh?

Happy Halloween from me and my little skeleton fetus!

Long Branch Farm Festival

Carson and Brynlee have the best daddy ever! When mommy is away, daddy always takes them on an adventure. While mommy was at Super Saturday for church, daddy took them to the Long Branch Farm Festival. There was lots of fun things to do. They went on a hayride, got their faces painted, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. What a fun day!

Virginia Animal Safari

On the way back from our fun weekend camping, we stopped by the Virginia Animal Safari. It was soo fun and the kids loved it! They have tons of open space for all the animals to roam. We took the wagon ride and got to feed and pet the animals. The kids really enjoyed seeing the animals up close and personal. They fed them and pet them. The camels were extra eager to get the buckets of food and to actually steal the buckets and chew on them. Dan had fun trying to keep them from stealing his bucket...which was not easy! After the wagon ride we saw more animals and we were able to pet the cute baby animals too. What a fun place!
