My Girls

Nope, I'm not talking about the things on my chest...I'm talking about the bestest (I know it's not really a word) friends a girl could ever ask for!! I've been thinking a lot about what awesome friends I have lately. I knew that moving would mean that I wouldn't see them as often and it really makes me sad...these are the coolest friends ever! But, I'm also excited about living closer to my friends down there (and making new ones too). I just wanted to thank all my ladies for all the fun "going away" parties. We had a girl's night SLEEPOVER that was hilariously fun, a cute last day for Carson in preschool party, and a super fun going away party at the park....we feel sooo loved!!! I love you ladies...you really are the bestest friends a girl could have...watch out though, you haven't seen the last of me :)

Prince Carson

Carson was invited to a Princess Birthday party for one of his cute little friends and in the invitation it said to wear "Your most handsome prince attire". He was the only boy at the Princess Party and I think he makes a very handsome Prince Charming!

Whew...and now it's time for a break

I've been working really hard this week on painting our new house. I wanted to hire someone to do it, but Dan thought we should save the couple thousand dollars...i suppose that is a good idea :) I must admit though, the house is looking great and it's fun to know that Dan and I did it! I've been going down in the mornings/afternoons with the kiddos and painting and painting till Dan comes home around4pm and starts helping. Luckily Brynlee takes a nap while we're there and Carson watches endless shows on the laptop, so I can get some work done. I've been working so hard and I'm soooo sore to show for it. I can't imagine doing this for a living! Every little part of me aches...maybe I'm just out of shape or old. But last night as I was leaving, it looked soo pretty, it's definitely worth all the work. And now I'm going to take a break. Today I'm going to be a good mom and actually PLAY with my children and do stuff that THEY like. Then tonight 5 of my coolest friends are going down to the house for a little girl's night/sleepover. I feel like I'm 12 having a sleepover, but I'm REALLY excited! We've done this before when a good friend moved away and we stayed at a hotel. But, since our house is empty, we can laugh and play all night (without the cops getting called on us :) I can't wait!!! Then next week we'll be finishing up the painting and then we move in next Saturday...YIPPEEE!!!! I'll definitely post some pictures soon of all our work!

A little bragging about my STINKER!!!

I just have to brag about my little Brynlee girl. I took her to the lab to have routine bloodwork done today and I was pretty much convinced she would act a little crazy like she usually does....not to mention the fact that she was going to get a needle stuck in her arm. Anyway, she was AMAZING!!! I have NEVER seen a little girl do soo good!!! She totally let the lady look at her arms for a vein and didn't even pull her arm away. When she stuck her, she didn't cry AT ALL!! I was SHOCKED!! The lab lady didn't get it right away and started fishing around for it and Bryn still didn't cry. Once she got the vein she cried out for like one second and then just kept watching. She was totally fine and didn't squirm or move at all...it was CRAZY! Maybe my little girl will be a nurse when she grows up....she was sooo good!!!

Brynlee Says....

....I may be a STINKER, but I sure am cute!!!
Mom says.....this girl drives me CRAZY, it's a good thing she's cute!!!

DC Cherry Blossom Festival '09

We enjoyed the beautiful cherry blossoms again this year, as well as the company of my cousin, Elise, and her cute family. Elise loves a parade, so that's where we met up. The kiddos enjoyed the parade and then we headed over to the blossoms and Japanese festival. It was a fun trip into DC, but especially fun to see Elise, Dean and their kids. On the Metro!
Da Parade!
Brynlee loved giving Dallin hugs...sometimes a little too much

BOUNCE HOUSE!!!

We went to the bounce house today! We haven't ever done this, but when our friends called, we couldn't refuse!! The kiddos loved it! Carson bounced so much he left the place dripping in sweat. He loved the GIANT slide...it was like 20ft high (the picture above is only the medium slide)! Brynlee made friends quickly with a 9 (?) yr old kid. He carried/push/pulled her through all the obstacles and over all the slides. I'm not too sure if she liked it, but she didn't complain! It was a great way to enjoy the rainy day!

Good Day

Some good stuff happened today, here's the low-down:

- I FINALLY finished the last book in the Twilight series. I say "FINALLY" b/c I started the book back in 2008 (and probably the early part of that year) and averaged about a chapter a week, maybe month...I'm a very slow reader (plus the fact that I don't exactly enjoy reading). My review of the book?...it was good (I'm not very good at the book reviews either :)

-The kiddos and I enjoyed another story time at the library. Besides Bryn eating a purple marker, we enjoyed stories and dancing all about frogs! Then we went to the park and enjoyed playing, despite the drizzling rain.

-After Bryn's nap, the kiddos and I went to the doctor for Bryn's 18th month check up. She's in great health and here are her stats:
Weight = 28lbs (91%)
Height = 33" (86%)

-Since Brynlee did so good getting her shot at the doctors and Carson was really good waiting (and Dan wasn't home yet and wouldn't be for a long time), we decided to go to Chick-fil-A for dinner. We stopped by PetSmart first to see the animals and one of my favorite young woman, who works there. Then ate some dinner (and a peppermint shake for me!) and let the kids play away on the playplace.

-So, it was a really good day. I even got some sewing time in. And on a side note, Carson has been really good the last couple days. He has been listening much better (we have a listening chart) and has been really sweet and cute. I love it when he is like that. Yesterday he was soo good that we decided to give him a special surprise. Here he is with his surprise....an iron man action figure I got at the Mothers Of Multiples sale for $3.50. It makes tons of sounds and shoots a little thingie from his hand. For those of you who know Carson, this is the PERFECT toy for him, he loves Ironman. Carson has told me like 50 times that he loves his special new toy.
