More from my little devil...

Okay, so maybe Carson's obsession with his devil mask has gotten out of hand. Tonight in his prayer at dinner he said he was thankful for the devil. I'm sure he meant his mask...but should I be worried??

My Little Devil

My mom tells me that when I was a little girl, I had a Strawberry Shortcake Halloween mask that I LOVED! She says that I would wear it all the time and come in to surprise her while she was cooking dinner. She would say in her sweetest voice "Oh, Strawberry Shortcake, how did you get in here?" She said that this game could go on forever and that I thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Meet my "Strawberry Shortcake"....
Okay, so he's not quite as cute on the outside, but he's super cute on the inside! Carson LOVES his $1 Devil mask from Wal-Mart. He wears it all the time and we play all sorts of games with his mask. For the last week I think I have said things like "Oh scary Devil, how did you get in here?", "Where is my sweet Carson-man, Mr. Devil?"....like a million times!!! It can get a bit redundant (or sometimes down right annoying), but then I remember my sweet mother doing this for me when I was little and I can't help but laugh and keep it going. Carson thinks that he is the funniest kid around and that this is the coolest trick ever...he loves to scare us with his devil mask!

Brynlee's FIRST Birthday!!!

We had a great time celebrating Bryn's first birthday! Yesterday, on her actual b-day, we had a nice relaxed day. I still can't believe she is already one! For dinner we took her to Chic-fil-A and got nuggets and a milkshake. She loved the shake, well until she tipped it upside down...all down her shirt! She spent the rest of the time on the playplace with nothing but a skirt on. Tonight we celebrated a little with some cake and good friends. We made a PEEP (from the cartoon PEEP and the Big Wide World) cake and some cupcakes. Bryn loved her cupcake! She started off by just dipping her little fingers into the frosting and licking them. Then she picked it up and went to town! She also got a few presents...which her older brother and friends helped open! She got a cute little singing seahorse stuffed animal, a My Little Pony, and a funny ball. She is such a sweet girl and we love her soo much! We look forward to many more birthdays with you Brynlee girl!!! Here is what she is doing at ONE:

-Says "mama", "dada", "baba", "uh-oh"
-goes up and down stairs all by herelf
-walks while holding on to something...although, tonight she took a few steps by herself!
-claps for herself whenever she makes it to the top of the stairs
-loves to swing
-loves to play with her brother...especially when they are suppose to be napping
-smiles all the time
-loves to eat

ROCKIN' WEEKEND!

I had a fabulous weekend!! It was jammed packed with friends and fun! On friday we went over to the church in the morning to work on some projects for Super Saturday the next day. Tami and her son, Kyle, met us there and we worked on our frames. Then Dan and Tami's husband, Scott, came home early from work and went off to play volleyball. Then at around 5pm Mary came over with the babysitters (2 young women from our ward who are sisters) to watch all 6 kids that we would have there that night. Once the sitters were there and all the kids, the girls all went out for a girls night (it also happened to be my birthday...yeah!). There were seven of us girls and we went to The Cheesecake Factory. We talked and laughed soo much and had really yummy food...it was awesome!! While the girls were out, the boys went to another friends house for pizza and Rock Band. After dinner the girls hung out longer to talk and the boys played Rock Band some more. It was an awesome day!!! Then on saturday we went to Super Saturday at church all morning and afternoon. I made a magnet board and some magnets to go on it. Here it is:
I'm hoping to use it in my future craft room :) Super Saturday is one of my favorite activities all year. We just work on crafts and talk...it's great!!! When we got home from that, the boys went to another friends house to watch the BYU game. After that we went to dinner and then it was pretty much bedtime. One of the young women from church spent the night at our house and we watched a movie and had icecream before we went to bed...it was fun! It was another fabulous day!!! The only complaint I had about friday and saturday is that I didn't get to see Dan very much at all! Sunday was also a very exciting day. I was released as Young Women's president! I knew it was coming b/c we are hoping to be moving sometime in the near future (no news on selling our house yet). It was a bittersweet day. The girls were "mad" at me for not staying president until the "day I move". I have built some awesome friendships with these girls and will miss being with them so much! I will NOT miss all of the meetings and time spent doing this calling though :) I'm excited to have a break for a little while and have more time at home. The new presidency is going to be AWESOME! So, there you have it, lots of stuff happened this weekend...it was a fantastic weekend!

All The Trend is ONLINE!!!!

Tami and I have been working on getting our little sewing business website up and running, but it's taking longer than expected. We keep telling everyone it is "under construction" or "almost ready", but since we're not sure exactly when it will be totally ready, we've started a little Etsy shop instead. We are totally excited to have a site and have been adding lots of stuff to it! Tami and I have done craft shows and festivals for the last few years now and so we're excited to get our stuff ONLINE! Feel free to let your friends know about it or post it on your blog; word of mouth is our best advertising. Take a look around and let us know what you think! Here's the link:

Preschool

Today was Carson's first day of Preschool! 5 of us moms from church are doing a little preschool co-op thingie. I think this is really going to be a great opportunity for all of us. The kids get a little learning time in and structure to their days, while us moms get a break and time with just the younger kids we have. Since there are 5 of us, we only have to teach once every 5 weeks...I think I can handle that! When I picked up Carson, he was so happy and said he had a great time at "school". And to celebrate the first day of preschool, Mary and I might have taken the kids to Chic-fil-A for some nuggets, talking, and playing on the playplace :) I'm looking forward to more preschool days!
