Sleepy Girl

Brynlee is not the type of girl to fall asleep anywhere.  She always fights sleep, but once she gives in she usually sleeps like a champ!  Well, since being in her new pink room with her "big girl" bed, her sleeping habits have been interrupted a bit.  She has a really hard time at bedtime (screaming, crying, yelling) and stays up playing in her room, until she finally falls asleep.  Then she's been waking up earlier than usual too.  So, she's been a little messed up with her sleep lately.  And here's the proof that she's just not herself...she fell asleep two days in a row on the couch watching a show....totally not like her.  I hope we can get her sleeping back to normal!

We love COX Farms!

Last weekend we got free tickets to the premiere weekend for the opening of Cox Farms.  I love Cox Farms!!  It is a pumpkin patch type place, but way better than any other I've been to.  It's not exactly the cheapest place, but there are so many fun things to do there.  They have a fun corn maze, awesome hayride, free cider, tons of super fun slides for the kids (and grown ups too!) and you get a free pumpkin at the end!  The kids love it and I love thinking that fall is just around the corner (even though it's been in the 90's lately...seriously?)

Two rooms down, the rest of the house to go!

We painted and decorated Carson and Brynlee's bedrooms...yeah!  I'm super happy with how they turned out!

Brynlee Turned THREE!!!

Brynlee had a birthday on the 18th!  I can't believe she is already three!  She has been spunky from the beginning(spunky being my nice way of saying...very challenging!)  She is smart, strong, stubborn, funny, silly, cute, crazy, adventurous, independent, and determined.  I love this girl so much, and although she is a very challenging little girl, I can't imagine my life without her!  Happy Birthday Brynlee-Girl.  Here is how we celebrated:

We started the day off by letting her open the door to her new pretty pink bedroom.  Check out more pictures of her bedroom HERE.

She immediately ran to the horse on the bed and gave him a big squeeze (I got the horse at a garage sale for $3)
She loved the doll house we got her (again, I found that at a garage sale!)
Then we told her to open the toy box.  She found more presents!
She loved the keyboard from grandma and grandpa Simmons...thanks!
And she loved the box of toys and treats from grandma and grandpa Loveridge...thanks!
Here's the sweet dress grandma Loveridge made for Brynlee...she loves it!
Later that night, we had a low-key birthday party for her with a princess castle pinata. Oh, and notice that super cute party dress that Tami made...love it!
Everyone sang to her and she blew out the candles on her flower cupcakes.
And last, she opened presents!  She loved them all!!!
Happy birthday Brynlee!  We hope you have a great year...we love you!

Family Home Evening

Carson loves Family Home Evening!  I'm pretty sure it's not the little 5 minute lesson we do, but probably more the activity and complete attention he gets from mom and dad.  Brynlee loves it too and especially loves the songs.  Last week for FHE, we talked about missionaries and going on a mission.  Of course Daddy had to bust out all his mission stuff.  He served a mission to Northern Siberia, RUSSIA.  Carson and Brynlee loved trying on all his warm hats, mittens, and socks.  Aren't they all funny looking?  And yes, Dan really did wear those hats on his mission :)

Picture Overload!

I never seem to be able to pick one or two pictures for my posts.  Instead I pick 10 or 15...I just can't narrow it down!  This post is no different.  While my parents were in town a couple weeks ago, my dad took a bunch of pictures of the kiddos.  Here are some of my favorite ones...thanks dad!  It sure is nice having a photographer dad to take cute pictures of my kids!
(Oh, and I might have slipped one in of my parents enjoying the lazy river at a little water park we all went to.  We had so much fun!)
