deep thoughts, by Lincoln

"Hey you, whatcha looking at?"
"Oh, you're checkin' out my rockin' fauxhawk."
"My mom does this to me b/c she thinks it's cute.  What do you think?"

Grandpa takes great pictures!

Of course when we were in NY my dad took lots of pictures of the kiddos.  Here are my favorites!

Palmyra, NY

We really wanted to take the kids to Palmyra while we were in NY.  They are studying about Joseph Smith and church history in primary, so we thought we would take them to visit some sites while it was fresh in their heads.

We enjoyed seeing the Sacred Grove, which Carson kept calling it the "Secret" Grove.

This is what my dad looks like most of the time.  He is always taking pictures!
Here are all the cousins that were there.  Both my kids and my brother Mike's kids. From left to right they are: Lincoln, Brynlee, Brooke, Carson, McKee holding Gavin, Seth, and Tyler.

After the church sites we went to Lollypop farm.  This is a humane society with animals to adopt as well as some farm animals to pet.
On Saturday we spent the day with Mike and Crystal's family for some Easter festivities.  The kids enjoyed some games and an egg hunt, but mostly just being with their cousins.

Spring Break - NY style

We decided to spend half of Carson's spring break up in Rochester, where I grew up.  We had a great time visiting with family and friends.  We usually go up there for Thanksgiving, but since my family came to our house this year, we hadn't been up to Rochester for over a year.   It was great to hang out with my parents and my brother Mike and his family.  We also got to see my good friends Alison and Jill.  I wish I had more time to spend with everyone!!

The kids were absolutely great in the car!  Dan got them travel Bingo and a travel scavenger hunt game that they loved.  Lincoln was perfect in the car!  The day after we got there, it actually snowed a little...crazy!  We had so much fun and can't wait to see grandma and grandpa in a month when they come down here!

Here are some pictures from Rochester's Strong Children's Museum...it was awesome!!!

Our family on the steps of Sesame Street.
They have a little Wegmans (Rochester is home to the best grocery store ever, Wegmans!), where kids can shop and scan their items and get a reciept...it is so cool!

Carson and Brynlee loved the Tinker Toys exibit.

Here is Carson climbing a building like Spiderman.
And of course Dan had to try to!

the SHOP

Well, I finally decided to do it.  I started an Etsy shop.  This is actually the third one I've done (the other two aren't running anymore).  The first one I did was to raise money for my handicapped niece, Claire.  The next one I did for a few years with my good friend Tami.  Now I've opened a shop to sell a few of the fun things I enjoy making.  My little shop is called Get Your Craft On SHOP.  There's not a lot in there right now, but I'll be adding new stuff often...so check back!  Feel free to tell your friends about my shop too!

I wanted to take some fun pictures of Lincoln to use for the shop, so I made him this fun hat and set up a little area in my family room to have a little photo shoot.  Look at all the fun shots I got!  Oh, and I obviously had fun editing them too!
