The Parentals

I love it when my parents come to visit! We were the first stop on their 7 week vacation across the country. They only stayed for about 4 days, but we had a great time hanging out and chatting. We also checked out Harper's Ferry. The kiddos absolutely LOVED having grandma and grandpa around and wanted to play with them all day long! My mom was so helpful and we had fun sneaking out of the house and going shopping :) My dad took pictures, of course! Oh, and went on walks and bike rides hoping to get a glimpse of a bear! Anyway, we had a fabulous time with them here and can't wait to go up to NY for Thanksgiving and see them again! Here are some of the pictures my dad too while they were here:

Brynlee turns 2!!!

I can't believe it!! My baby girl turned two on September 18th! Where did the time go?? Has it really been two years since this happened. She hasn't stopped being crazy since her crazy entrance into this world. She is cute and sassy and super independent! Happy birthday Brynlee girl...we love you!!

Here are a few fun facts about Bryn:

*She loves to eat everything...especially "treats"
*Her vocabulary is growing every day and knows hundreds of words.
*She will copy EVERYTHING Carson says or does
*She loves dancing and swimming
*She usually prefers PINK anything
*She loves "babies" and has to have one when she goes to bed
*She says "cheese" or "cheeseburger" whenever there is a camera around
*She loves attention and says "watch!!!" to get you to look at her and then "didyaseedat?" after.
*She knows how to tease Carson and will say "ihaditfirst" just to get him mad.
*She is trying hard to sing songs and can get some of the right words now
*She has the cutest cheesy smile EVER!!!!

We went to celebrate her birthday with grandma and grandpa Simmons at Chuck-E-Cheese. Brynlee LOVES that place and was soooo excited to go!! Here are a few pictures:

Preschool!!

We're doing a preschool swap with 5 other kids from church and I was the first up to teach this week! One more day to go and so far so good! There are 5 boys and 1 girl in our group and they are full of energy! Here's to another fun year of preschool! I'm happy to keep him home for one more year since yesterday a BEAR was spotted on the playground of the school Carson will be going to....yikes!!!

29 and holding!!!!

I had the best birthday this year!!! I'm not actually 29...but I'm 29 and HOLDING!!! That's what my grandpa use to always say. Okay, I actually turned the big 3-0 (shhh, don't tell anybody!). Dan planned everything out for my birthday and it was fabulous! He actually arranged to take the day before off so I could go shopping all day without kids, but I decided he should work and I'd go on my birthday instead. So, I headed off shopping the morning of my birthday and was suppose to find something to wear on Sundays. It was nice shopping without kids but I HATE shopping for dresses...and NO, I did not find anything!!! But then I met up with Ashley for lunch and pampering. Dan had already arranged everything for me and her to get mini-facials, pedicures, and manicures at a spa. Pampering and paying money for spa stuff is SO NOT LIKE ME....and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! The mini-facial was especially pampering and I had to secretly laugh inside every time she slimmed my face with whatever that stuff was, or spritzed me with whatever, or flick my face to check the elasticity of my skin....seriously, if felt really good! Then Dan met us at the mall with the kids. Ashley took the kiddos home and put them to bed and Dan and I went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory...yum!!! It was such a fun birthday! Not to mention some fun presents...like a GPS!! Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes and thanks Dan for an awesome 30th birthday!!!

The kids loved pickin' apples. Now we just have to figure out what to do with all of them!!

We went camping at Blue Knob in Pennsylvania. We camped. And we had FUN!!! Here's the proof:

We had sooo much fun today! We went with our friends to the Dulles Air & Space museum and then afterwards to a park with a farm! The kiddos loved it and so did I!!
