I love pictures!

I don't love actually "taking" the pictures or trying to get the kids to smile, but I love having cute pictures of my kiddos! Here are some recent ones of them...

Gordon B. Hinckley

1910-2008

President Hinckley died tonight at his home. He was an amazing Prophet and will be greatly missed. I will especially miss his quick wit and fun sense of humor. What an amazing man!

What I'm thinking about today....

Here are just a few of the things I've been thinking about today...

-why my hair has to fall out so much after I have a baby. It feels like it is falling out by the hand fulls...I'll need a wig soon.

-what to do about pre-school for Carson next year (thanks everyone for making me worry about this now...ahh)

-Funny things that toddlers say. While eating lunch, Carson said "good job mom heating up my beans...thanks". I like getting praised for good bean re-warming.

-How I really want to throw away about half of everything we own...I just want to do some serious spring cleaning lately.

-How one more of my good friends moved to Oregon today (you know who you are)

-tons of stuff I want to sew.

-how I don't want to go to church meeting tonight that I have to go to.

-What a wonderful life I have.

Carson Singing

This is Carson singing and playing with his baby sister. He really is a great big brother!

***************************************************
We got some snow this week. Unfortunately Dan didn't get off from work...bummer! Sometimes they cancel school/work just with a forecast for snow. Carson wanted to play in it, of course. I didn't really want to go out, so I got him all bundled up and sent him out onto our back deck, while I enjoyed a nice warm lunch. He had a blast!!

Here's the latest creation.

Here are a few pictures of Bryn. It was a little hard to get some good shots, but there were a few decent ones.

Team Claire-Bear

GO Team Claire-Bear!!!! As most of you already know, my sister's daughter Claire is very sick. She is only one but has been in and out of the hospital numerous times during her first year of life. She was diagnosed with a severe and rare form of infant spasms/epilepsy. She is deaf and blind and has several, even hundreds of seizures every day. They have been working hard to try to figure out medications and tests that may help her, but have had little to no success so far. My sister and her husband have been amazingly strong and loving while taking care of Claire, who rarely sleeps and crys most of the time. She is a very challenging baby, but they have been so loving regardless. They also have a 3 year old daughter and have been sensitive to her needs as well. Recently my sister sent me a link to the National Walk for Epilepsy, which will be held at the National Mall on March 29th. It's so hard to know how to help out, but I figured this is something i can totally do. So, we've started "Team Claire-Bear" and are excited for the walk. If you live in the DC area and want to join our team, that would be AWESOME!!! Or if you don't live around here and still want to join our team you can be a "virtual walker" and walk where ever you live. Or if you don't want to walk at all, feel free to donate to our team and show your support! I'm not one for fundraisers, but I would like my sister to know how much we love their family and support them, and this is a small way of doing so. So, check out our website and see what you can do....you guys ROCK!

The Last post about my hair

Okay, this is the last post about my darn hair! I just got these pictures from the girl that cut my hair. She is actually the sister of my friend from here. She recommended her for when we were in UT and she did a fabulous job. I love my new hair! I will always miss a ponytail (b/c I'm lazy!), but I love having an actual style.

On another note...Bryn has been sleeping for over 9 hours...yeah!!! I put her to bed the same time as Carson last night and she went right to sleep and is still sleeping now...hallelujah!!! This is the longest she has slept in Carson's room so far, I hope this is the start of something new.

It's Ladies Night...oh what a night!

Here are a few fun pictures. I packaged up my ponytail to send off to Locks of Love, but not before having a little fun with it. Here's a picture of Dan, if he had hair (love you babe), and a picture of Carson if he had brown hair...pretty funny! And of course a few more pictures of Bryn...she is getting so big. She has been sleeping in Carson's room for about a week now and is doing pretty good. She won't sleep as long, but does pretty good. I'm amazed at how well Carson does too...he rarely wakes up from her crying.

So, I had the most fun ever this past weekend!!! My good friend, Gwyn, is moving so we had a girl's night and went to dinner and "kidnapped" Gwyn and spent the night in a hotel. She had no idea what we were doing, it was great! There were five of us girls and two baby girls and we had SOOOOOO much fun!!!! I haven't done something like that in forever! We had NO problem talking the night away...all the way up till almost 4am! It was a blast...too bad we can't do that more often! You ladies are the best!!!

HAPPY 2008!

We're starting off the year right!!! We went on a DATE!!! We got a babysitter...two actually (thanks Kelsie and Michelle), and went to lunch and a movie. It was soo great to go on a date...that's one of our goals...to go on more dates! We've made lots of goals for this year, we'll see how we do.

On a different note. We've been working the last few nights on getting the kids sleeping in the same room at night. It has been rough at times, but overall I've been very impressed with kids ability to adjust to new things. Carson has only yelled out a few times "Daddy...get baby sister's binky!". Other than that, he has been really good going to sleep with her in there...even when she's screaming. Here's hoping that this will work, we really need to get her in her own crib at night.
