The Auto Show

On wednesday, we went to the Washington D.C. Auto Show. It was held at the DC convention center and they have TONS of cars! We went a few years ago and had fun looking at all the cars, so we decided to go again this year. Dan's jeep is dying, so we thought it would be nice to check out a few cars...just in case we'll be buying one sometime soon. So, the auto show has tons of cars and you can go and check them out, sit in them, whatever! It's really fun b/c you can sit in all sorts of cars and see which you like best. Carson really liked sitting in all the cars and climbing all around. Our favorite car was the Nissan Quest minivan, it was really nice. Maybe someday we'll have one of those :) The biggest attraction was the "Jeep Camp". They had set up this HUGE course to show how cool jeeps are. They were taking people on rides to show all the neat things a jeep can do. So, they climbed over logs, went trough water, up huge slopes...it was pretty crazy! Of course, Dan had to go, so he waited in line and Carson and I watched him go through the course in the Jeep. Dan LOVES jeeps!! It was a lot of fun, especially because we were together as a family....that's not so common lately.

Next year make sure you take Nick with you, he would spend all day just with the JEEP's. He has this weird loyalty to the JEEP name! In fact, Nick will be really sad to hear that Dan's JEEP is going to die.

My husband would have loved that car show - he too is a die-hard Jeep lover. He has a Jeep now, but for a year before we bought it he had the Jeep he wanted as his computer wallpaper. Crazy guys!

Yep, jeeps must be a guy thing. They are fun, but just not practical. I guess that's the mom in me speaking. I am a little sad that Dan's jeep is dying...it's kinda his kdentity. Oh well, some day he'll be the guy with the mini-van :) So, Jenni, what kind of jeep do you guys have?

Adrian's is a Liberty. He would love to have a Wrangler, but I agree that's just not practical for us either. I'm happy w/ his Jeep, the kids all fit, so its great. (I'm not into how bumpy Jeeps are though! And that's pretty much sacrilege to Jeep lovers!)

Yah, Dan has a '91 Jeep Wrangler that is all lifted up with giant tires. It is SUPER bumby to ride in, but of course he loves it. His whole family goes "jeepin" in Moab all the time...we're going in May...it's not exactly my cup of tea, oh well. Gotta love Jeeps!

Nick put a lift kit in his Grand Cherokee with huge tires, surprisingly it isn't bumpy...just loud!

Hey did you know? JEEP now has a 4 door Wrangler, it's the unlimited. Dan, you should look into buying that. Or what about the Compass?
