We'll miss you Melece!!!

One of the young women from church is moving away....boohoo!!! She has been a wonderful addition to our small youth group. She is lively and fun and always in the mood for a hug. We will really miss you Melece!!! Here is a quilt I made for her as a going away gift. One of the other girls, Michelle, helped with the idea of the quilt. I really like the fabric...nothing says "I'm 16!" like hot pink polka dots and zebra stripes! There are a few more fun pictures below too :)

your quilt is so cute, perfect for a 16 yr old. i have always wanted to do a photo quilt. how do you do it? is it hard? did you quilt it or do you send your quilts away? if you do do them, do you have a special machine that does it? sorry for so many questions but you are the pro:)

I love the video! My kids love to make Drew laugh so hard. I have to stop them some times because they don't know when to stop and they have him laugh so hard that he get sick!

Bryn's laugh sounds like Samantha, they are adorable! Nice job with the quilt, what a great idea. I wish I had the patience for sewing.

Lynette, you are the coolest. I keep saying I'm going to pick up quilting. I need to follow through with that. I am finally stitching together all my denim squares (cut out from old jeans over the years). It's going to be a picnic/outdoor blanket--but I don't think it counts as real quilting.

great quilt. Hopefully that is what I will be doing today, since I've had Danielle's quilt top pieces sitting in a bin for way to long.

p.s. I love your sewing machine on your kitchen table in the background of your video.
